Harmsen & Associates, Inc. has been surveying in the Puget Sound region for more than 37 years. Fakkema & Kingma, a Harmsen Company has been surveying for more than 45 years. Collectively, we have completed more than 8,000 projects. Our survey department staff includes 6 professionally licensed surveyors, 2 land surveyors in training, 2 survey technicians, 2 CAD drafters, and the capability to run 10 full field crews. 

Our surveyors are perhaps the most experienced in Washington. Each Surveyor has more than 15 years’ experience, and most have more than 20. They have been leaders in Washington’s Survey Associations and understand the geography of this region like the back of their hands! In many instances, we already have surveyed areas and have data in-house that can simplify your survey project, saving you time and money.

Our range covers the Cascade Range to the coast of Washington, the Bellingham area to Olympia. We have worked in Eastern, Central, and Southwestern Washington. We have surveyed for water districts, wastewater treatment plants, roads, municipalities, single family homes to high rises, pits and quarries, watersheds, dams, rivers, commercial, industrial and many other types of projects.

We have strong expertise and are proficient with state of the art survey equipment including Real Time Kinematic (RTK) Global Positioning System (GPS), robotic total stations, Tripod Data System (TDS) data collectors, and AutoCAD software up to 2012.
